1. Can you get married in France if you don’t live there?
Absolutely! France sets the perfect stage for a destination wedding. Just remember that your ceremony will be symbolic and not a legal ceremony. In France, all couples must hold their legal wedding ceremony at a local town hall and must have proof of address in France having been living there for 30 days prior. The best option, if you don’t have proof of address in France, is to get legally married in you home country first, and then organise a symbolic ceremony here in France.
2. What is the average cost of a wedding in France?
The million dollar question! While wedding costs vary, we believe in creating magical moments without breaking having to break the bank. Let’s chat specifics and tailor a wonderful experience within your own personal budget.
3. How do I start planning my Chateau de la Cazine wedding?
The first step in planning any wedding, after reserving your date, is gathering together your team. You’ve got two routes; pick a wedding planner to assemble your team for you, or personally select each element. Once you’ve agreed on your caterer, florist. photographer, DJ, stylist, and coordinator, the rest is all about bringing all of those moving parts together on the day. Luckily, that’s exactly what your seasoned professionals are pros at!
4. Can you create a “Package” wedding?
We understand that every couple and every wedding is totally unique and we believe in preserving the magic of this special day by avoiding the one-size-fits-all approach of packaged weddings. Rather than offering standard packages, we prefer to guide you towards a bespoke experience. We’ll connect you with the finest suppliers who specialize in creating tailor-made celebrations. If you would like us to take care of the A-Z of the organisation, we’ll have a chat, and work together with you and a wedding planner to tailor make a specific experience for you.
5. Is there parking available?
Yes! We’ve got you covered with a dedicated car park for up to 30 cars plus additional parking on the grass if necessary.
6. How many guests can you accommodate overnight?
We can comfortably host 35 of your guests within 18 luxury suites on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Chateau. The entire top floor is dedicated to the bride and groom in our beautiful Honeymoon Suite. Need room for little ones? We can supply beds or cots for children up to the age of 12.
For your wedding celebration itself , we can accommodate 80 guests within our pretty reception rooms or up to 200 guests for an outdoor event. Keep in mind that for weddings with more than 80 guests, it’s necessary to hire a marquee (as your Plan B in case of bad weather).
7. Can our pet come too?
Yes! We have pet-friendly suites to accommodate your most honored fury guests!
8. Are linen, cutlery and furniture provided?
For weddings up to 80 guests, we’ll supply you with furniture, linens and tableware. If you have a larger guest count, we can point you towards some amazing companies to create beautiful table-scapes for you, or you can ask your caterers to provide everything you need. Our suites are all dressed and contain the fluffiest of towels, robes and slippers so that you’ll feel right at home.
9. How far in advance should we book?
Booking in advance is a wise move to secure your preferred date and ensure the availability of essential services. For the optimum Chateau de la Cazine wedding experience, we recommend making reservations approximately 12 to 18 months ahead of your desired wedding date. This time frame allows ample room for meticulous planning, securing your chosen vendors, and tailoring every detail to perfection. However, flexibility is key, and we strive to accommodate varying timelines whenever possible. So, the sooner, the better, but don’t hesitate to reach out, even if your dream date is just around the corner!
10. When can we start decorating?
You have plenty of time to style the chateau any way you like! You’ll have exclusive access to the estate from 4pm the day before your wedding.
11. Is there disabled access?
Absolutely, inclusivity is a priority. We have a disabled suite equipped with easy access to our lift for your convenience.
12. How much is the deposit?
Secure your date with 30% deposit upon reservation, another 30% 6 months prior to your wedding date, and the remainder due one month before the big day.
13. Is Tax included in the price?
Yes! No hidden surprises. What you see is what you get, without any unexpected 20% additions afterwards! Cleaning is also included.
14. Can we bring our own alcohol?
Of course, bring the bubbly! We don’t charge corkage, your celebration, your choice.
15. Can we use Confetti?
We recommend using the eco-friendly biodegradeable kind to protect our precious wildlife, but by all means let the confetti fly!
16. Are there restroom facilities?
Each of our luxury suites is equipped with a premium en-suite, with many boasting sumptuous claw foot baths for a relaxing soak. You’ll find public restrooms conveniently tucked away on our basement level, easily accessible by the lift. For larger outdoor weddings surpassing 150 guests, we recommend considering additional facilities to ensure everyone enjoys the day without any bathroom queue surprises.
17. Do you have weather back up plans?
While Central France boasts a great climate, we’re no strangers to the occasional weather surprise! For gatherings of up to 80 guests, we always have a back up plan. If raindrops do decide to dance down, we seamlessly transition your celebration from the great outdoors to our elegant reception rooms. For larger weddings of more than 80, its advisable to hire a charming marquee out on our lawn. Not only will it provide you shade from the sun, it will also shelter your festivities if the clouds do burst.
18. Do you have air-con?
Yes! Air Conditioned suites means you can keep cool and relaxed in summer and our heating keeps you feeling cosy all through the winter.
19. Do we need to provide insurance, security and liability?
Planning your weddings at Chateau de la Cazine should be as stress-free as sipping champagne on a summer’s evening. We ask for a certificate of civil liability for your stay at our Chateau and when it comes to weddings, we highly recommend considering wedding insurance. This gives you ultimate peace of mind, ensuring that even if a few unexpected hiccups decide to join the celebration, you’re covered.
